Tesco Bags of Help Funding

Currently, Tesco is holding a community vote on which organisation should receive their ‘Bags of Help Funding’ which helps local organisations complete projects. We at Crownway are currently one of the organisations vying for this funding. Voting runs from 1st of March to the 30th of April. If you would like to help us complete our project please vote at one of these Tesco stores;

Earlestown, Haydock, St Helens

Just ask for a token at the checkout or if you are at the self-checkout don’t forget to grab a token before you leave.

Crownway Community Centre are looking for Volunteers!

We’re currently looking for people to lend a helping hand in the café for a few hours on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you are interested, please enquire in the office, call 01925 22290 or message the page. If you know anyone else who would be interested in helping out please share this post with them.

Vacancy: Development Support Worker

Development Support Worker

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary commences at £18,940 per annum

Fixed-term contract until July 2020


We are looking for someone who has the skills, knowledge and experience required to fulfil this demanding but rewarding role in a busy, thriving community centre.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate, influence and form effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will need to have a good understanding of issues impacting on local neighbourhoods and isolated communities, with the drive and determination to make a difference.

The role will include all aspects of marketing and publicity including the effective use of social media and web-based activities, monitoring and evaluation, fundraising and general administration and reception duties.

Ideally, you will have experience of working with volunteers. Understanding good practice in volunteer recruitment, management and supervision, you will provide support to the Centre Manager in the delivery of our volunteer programme.

Annual General Meeting 2018

 Crownway Community Centre invites you to attend our 14th Annual General Meeting.
