Jobseeking & Universal Jobmatch

Date & Time: Mon, Tues & Wed

Venue: Crownway Community Centre

Support available with the new Universal Jobmatch system…

Are you currently looking for work, and need support with your job search activities? Job hunting can be difficult, and these days lots of jobs are only advertised online. This can mean if you’re not confident using computers you could be missing out on lots of great opportunities. The internet can act as a big “help wanted” board, bringing together all of the different vacancies that are out there.

Crownway Community Centre has partnered with our local Jobcentre Plus, and we now provide an ‘access point’ for people who aren’t skilled with using a computer, the internet or who are struggling with the new Universal Jobmatch system. A member of staff will be available to guide you through the basics of using a computer, registering an account with Universal Jobmatch and will provide you with access to resources that will aid in your jobsearch activities.

For in-depth support from a dedicated and trained careers-related team, we recommend that you contact Starting Point on 01744 698800 or visit for more information. There are local job clubs that you may be able to attend, just ask an advisor.

What to do?

Please contact a member of staff at the Centre, either via phone or email, in order to arrange a time to come in, and we’ll be happy to help. Our number is 01925 222907 or use the Quick Contact feature on the homepage.

Further Assistance

We are also a UK Online Centre and can register you on an internet course in computer basics; this includes the new Universal Jobmatch system. Having created an account, you may continue your learning at home or at another venue at any time. More information can be found here:
