Vacancy: Development Support Worker

Development Support Worker

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary commences at £18,940 per annum

Fixed-term contract until July 2020

 

We are looking for someone who has the skills, knowledge and experience required to fulfil this demanding but rewarding role in a busy, thriving community centre.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate, influence and form effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will need to have a good understanding of issues impacting on local neighbourhoods and isolated communities, with the drive and determination to make a difference.

The role will include all aspects of marketing and publicity including the effective use of social media and web-based activities, monitoring and evaluation, fundraising and general administration and reception duties.

Ideally, you will have experience of working with volunteers. Understanding good practice in volunteer recruitment, management and supervision, you will provide support to the Centre Manager in the delivery of our volunteer programme.

New! Pilates Class

 

The St Helens Healthy Living Team are bringing another popular Pilates class to Crownway!

Starting Wednesday 6th June 2018 (from 11.30am – 12.30pm), costing £2.50 and running weekly.

Pilates is ideal for trimming & toning your body the gentle way. Relieve stress and tension, improve your physical fitness, posture and flexibility and re-balance your sense of well-being. A great opportunity to meet new friends in a relaxing environment.

We have mats available if you cannot bring your own.

Rotary Club Senior Citizens Music & Comedy Show

The Rotary Club of Newton-le-Willows presents their Annual Senior Citizen Non-Stop Music & Comedy Show. Featuring fabulous 5-star Blackpool entertainment at Haydock Conservative Club on Monday 23rd April 2018. The show starts at 7.00pm and finishes at 9.30pm. Free tickets available to all “over 60s” via Crownway Community Centre.

Talent Match – Take Control of Your Future

Are you aged 18 to 29 years old? Been out of education, employment or training for 12 months or more? Do you need some support? If yes, then Talent Match can support you!

Why are we different?

You’ll be given a mentor who will work one to one with you, providing support tailored to your needs, support that is flexible, not pressured or time bound.
