Community Cafe Assistant

16 hours per week
£7.50 per hour
6 months fixed contract
(to be reviewed dependent on funding)

Mon 10am – 1pm / Tues 10am – 1.30pm / Wed 10am – 1pm / Thurs 10am – 2.30pm / Fri 11am – 1pm

(Some flexibility in hours may be required)

Role Responsibility
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person with a ‘can-do’ attitude. The main objective of this position is to work co-operatively with all staff and volunteers to ensure that the community café can continue to provide quality food, drinks, snacks and excellent customer service throughout the week.

The role will also include: some shopping duties, helping the Centre Manager with cash and carry runs, and in the delivery of a weekly Luncheon Club.

The Ideal Candidate
• Have a passion for food, cooking and quality service
• You will need to work well as part of a team
• An understanding and appreciation of volunteering
• Be friendly and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
• Full clean driving license (desirable)
