Mindfulness is about learning to live in the moment.

Life often overwhelms the best of us and it can become a struggle to pay attention to what is really going on and how we should cope. We adapt by learning to live on ‘automatic pilot’, neglecting to address our thoughts, feelings and sensations – the lens through which we interact with the world.

What are the benefits?

Mindfulness will give you breathing space and peace. It is immediately effective and is proven to have a positive influence in the lives of practitioners. Using meditation and breathing techniques, it brings about long term changes in mood, promotes a deeper sense of kinship with others, reduces stress, helps with pain management, anxiety, depression, and increases overall happiness and wellbeing.

What happens during the course?

The 8 week course consists of an introduction to mindfulness, practicing mindfulness, meditation techniques, being aware of your body, observing thoughts and feelings, learning how to release habits, and treating yourself with kindness. Please note that techniques used have no religious association.

8-week course at £10.00 per session (1½ hours)
Sessions need to be booked and paid for in advance
£80.00 for full course
